Mission
Mission Statement
The Department of Athletics and Activities at Ririe Junior-Senior High School is committed to excellence in athletics and activities while supporting the educational mission of Ririe Joint School District No. 252, which is to "Prepare Students for the Future".
Philosophy
Ririe Junior-Senior High School believes that participation in extra-curricular athletics and activities is an integral part of the overall educational experience. Athletics and activities provide opportunities for students to develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Our programs will challenge each student-athlete to strive for excellence, discover their abilities, and learn to work cooperatively as a member of a team. It is important that student-athletes are teachable, humble, and helpful. While winning is a natural goal in the pursuit of excellence, the principles of good sportsmanship and the enjoyment of competition should take precedence at all times to enhance the educational value of all contests.
Vision Statement
Our goal is to teach the values of teamwork, pride, respect, commitment, good work ethic, sportsmanship, and the development of a proper winning attitude. It is our hope and vision that through athletics and activities that our student-athletes can develop these traits and have them carry over into all aspects of their lives.
Our objectives are to teach student-athletes some, if not all, of the following:
- The importance of integrity, knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities.
- Skill development through learning experiences that contributes to the student-athlete's physical, mental, emotional, and social growth.
- The qualities of teamwork and how to function as a member of a team.

- An appreciation of the value of physical fitness and conditioning.
- How to accept victory or defeat in a gracious manner.
- The value of hard work and commitment.
- Good organizational habits, including time-management.
- How to be trustworthy and how to promote good citizenship.
