Who We Are

Sportsmanship is at the heart of what it means to be a student-athlete at our school, and we align with the values of S.T.A.R. — Safety, Tolerance, Acceptance, and Respect. As a player, you have the responsibility to not only compete to the best of your ability but to do so with integrity, fairness, and respect for everyone involved—your teammates, your opponents, and the officials. Embrace the spirit of Tolerance and Acceptance by celebrating the diversity of your teammates and opponents alike, understanding that everyone brings something unique to the game. Show Respect by playing with honor, shaking hands after a game, and encouraging your fellow athletes, win or lose. Most importantly, always ensure that everyone feels safe—both physically and emotionally—on and off the field. Upholding these values isn’t just about how you play the game, but how you carry yourself as a teammate and a representative of our school. By embodying these principles, you help create a positive, supportive environment where everyone can thrive, both in sports and in life.

As an athletic department and coaches, it’s our responsibility to uplift and encourage our teams to uphold these expectations at all times. We set the example by showing respect for all players, opponents, and officials, and by fostering an environment where every student feels valued, safe, and accepted.

As a student-athlete, exercise your voice—speak up when something is wrong, and be proactive in supporting one another. It’s crucial that all student-athletes understand you have a safe space to report any harm, whether it's bullying, discrimination, or any other form of misconduct. You should report harm immediately to coaches, the Athletic Director (AD), or other trusted adults.

By modeling these values and creating an open, supportive environment, we can ensure that our teams not only excel in their sports but also grow as responsible, compassionate individuals. Together, we can uphold the S.T.A.R. standards and make our school a place where everyone is respected and valued.
