Our mission is to provide a safe haven where everyone is valued and respected.  All staff members, in partnership with all community stakeholders are fully committed to students’ college and career readiness.  Students are empowered to meet current and future challenges to develop social awareness, civic responsibility, and personal growth.

Hillcrest High School is a comprehensive public high school with a student population of approximately 1,200 students in grades 9-12.  We are located at 17401 South Pulaski Rd. in Country Club Hills, Illinois.  Hillcrest opened in 1967.  The first graduating class was in 1969.  Hillcrest primarily serves the communities of Country Club Hills and Hazel Crest.  

 

Our faculty are continually dedicated to providing the highest quality academic and extracurricular experience for our students.  We have attained a 95% pass rate and a freshmen on track rate of 90% in the past few school years.  Participation in athletics and activities is also at an all time high.  The school leadership team constantly strives to support the total school program and have amplified efforts to recognize and reward our high achieving students.

 

Hillcrest has had a storied athletic department since its inception.  Girls Bowling took 3rd place in state in 1990 and Girls Basketball took 2nd place in state in 2010 and 2011.  They also took 3rd place in 2013.  Three teams have achieved historic status as IHSA State Champions.  Boys Track won the school’s first state championship in 2009.  Boys Basketball won the championship in 2010 and Boys Track earned a second straight championship in 2010.
